In Europe, Germany is well-known as the biggest car manufacturer who makes the best cars. Let’s just mention that this country is home to Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen, and Audi. However, Volkswagen is the owner of Audi and Porsche. They are also the 3rd, biggest car group in the world. Opel is also a German car manufacturer, but they have been bought and are controlled by the General Motors.

When it comes to German cars they are known for their reliability, power, luxury and engineering. Most people believe that cars made in Germany are the safest and most reliable cars to buy.

BMW, the leader of luxury sedans

BMW is one of the biggest car manufacturers in Germany. They were founded in 1916, but in the recent years, they have recorded a huge growth in all segments. BMW stands for Bavarian Motor Works and it is the only German manufacturer that produces motorcycles.

Of all German cars only BMW models are treated as the best affordable everyday-cars that can be used as sports cars. Even older models, such as E30 (BMW from the 80s) were popular due to the fact they had a stylish design; they could be easily tuned and they had impressive performances. The first, true sport car from BMW was the M5. Nowadays, M5 cars are probably the best family sport vehicles ever designed. These cars offer performance and luxury and can be used as daily drivers, they have a large trunk, enough space inside and they are comfortable to drive. But, with a single press of a button, they can be transformed into real beasts. With the power of more than 500HP, rear wheel drive and perfect transmission, these vehicles are capable of delivering impressive performances.

Of course, M cars are sport-focused but BMW also makes standard cars. You can compose between different series, ranked as numbers.  For example series 1, series 2, series 3, series 5 and etc. A common question is what the number combination, at the back of each BMW stands for. If we have 320i, this is a car from series 3, with an engine of 2L. The “I” stands for injection and it is still used today. The situation is the same with all models made by this manufacturer. Some say that of all German cars, BMW has the best model and type badge.
